Mu2e is an intensity-frontier experiment being developed at Fermilab, which will search for the coherent neutrino-less muon to electron conversion in a nucleus field. This process would exhibit charged lepton flavor violation (CLFV), not yet observed. In 3 years running, Mu2e will improve the sensitivity by 4 orders of magnitude over the present limits. Mue conversion is permissible in the SM through neutrino oscillations with an extremely low rate. So observation of this signal is a direct confirmation of BSM physics. In these searches, Mu2e is uniquely sensitive to a wide range of models by indirectly probing mass scales up to 104 TeV.
