Long-distance entanglement, violation of cluster decomposition and anomalous dynamics in local quantum spin models.

We compute exactly the correlation functions and some peculiar entanglement properties for two classes of local integer and half-integer spin chains whose non-degenerate ground states can be expressed in terms of uniform superpositions of Motzkin and Dyck paths. Surprisingly we find a violation of the cluster decomposition property for the correlation functions, a large deviation from the area law for the entanglement entropy and an extremely fast propagation of the excitations after a quantum quench.
