We consider the injection of electronic wavepackets by means of a time-dependent voltage applied to the ballistic edge channels of the integer quantum Hall effect. Due to electron-electron interactions, the injected pulse creates fractional excitations in the system. We calculate their non-equilibrium momentum distribution, which carries a clear signature of the minimal excitations known as Levitons. We finally calculate the zero frequency noise due to the partitioning of fractional excitations at a quantum point contact and show how a directly related quantity can be used as a probe of electron-electron interactions.
