Tight-binding investigation of the electronic, magnetic and transport properties of Cr-based superconductors.

Recently, pressure-induced superconductivity was discovered in the Cr-based compound CrAs near a magnetic quantum critical point; more rencently it has been found that $K_{2}Cr_{3}As_{3}$ is a quasi-one dimensional superconductor at ambient pressure. Here we present the study of the electronic, magnetic and transport properties of CrAs and $K_{2}Cr_{3}As_{3}$through a combined tight-binding-Lowdin down folding procedure for CrAs and a tight-binding model that retains a minimal number of hoppings for $K_{2}Cr_{3}As_{3}$. In both cases the results are consistent with $ab-initio$ calculations and available experimental data.
