ICARUS completed a successful physics run at the LNGS laboratories studying neutrino oscillations with the CNGS neutrino beam from CERN and searching for atmospheric neutrino interactions. ICARUS performed a sensitive search for LSND like anomalous $\upsilon$e appearance, constraining the allowed parameters to a narrow region around $\Delta m2\sim$eV2. After a significant overhauling, the detector is now at Fermilab to start searching for sterile neutrino within the SBN program, devoted to definitively clarify presently observed neutrino anomalies. The talk will address ICARUS achievements, its status and plans for the next physics run at Fermilab.
