Light stable axions, originally proposed to solve the strong CP problem of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), emerge now as leading candidates of non-WIMP dark matter. In recent years, many experimental possibilities have been proposed and investigated to attain the QCD prediction. Through the different couplings of axion-matter and axion-radiation interaction lagrangian the various experimental attemps will be presented.
