The EEE network with its over 50 MRPC cosmic ray telescopes is a powerful tool to search for long-distance correlations in cosmic-ray physics. Several strategies have been already employed in this direction, looking at coincidence events between extensive air showers detected by local telescope clusters at hundred km distances or between multitrack events in individual telescopes. An additional investigation is also in progress to search for unexpected events involving a large number of telescopes spread out over the Italian territory. A report will be given about the ongoing analysis of a large statistical data sample collected over the past years.
