The Einstein Telescope is the European third generation gravitational wave observatory. It aims at measuring the space time strain h(t) gaining one order of magnitude with respect to present instruments. The hosting underground infrastructure should be designed to allow for the evolution toward the ultimate performance of an earthbound instrument. The site seismic noise plays a major role there. After discussing briefly ultimate noise sources in ET, the characteristics of the proposed site of Sos Enattos in Sardinia are presented.
